A-OK Mechanical Tee

Four parts. One of them is an ape.

Mechanical keyboards are named for what sits under each key. We took one apart to check.

Part 1: keycap. Part 2: spring. Part 4: housing. Part 3 is sitting in the housing in an A-OK cap, headphones and an Apes on Keys hoodie, arms raised under the spring, looking about as surprised as we were.

The Mechanical Tee lays it all out as a numbered exploded-view diagram, the kind printed in the back of a manual nobody reads. Tactile. Clicky. Staffed.

Hand-pressed. Every keystroke. A-OK.

• Numbered exploded-view switch diagram, centered on the chest, about 10.2 inches wide.
• Cream, black and red artwork with callouts 1 to 4; the only words are A-OK on the cap and Apes on Keys on the hoodie.
• Bella + Canvas 3001 Unisex Staple T-Shirt.
• Colorways: Red, Blue and Green.
